We are an independent medical practice.  Our aim is to provide quality of care in a small office.   Our doctors run the practice and make their own decisions about how to treat patients.  They are able to take time to evaluate patients thoroughly without having an overseeing administrator forcing them to see more patients per hour.   Our staff includes excellent Registered Nurses and a caring front office team.  
 

     One of our goals is to preserve the traditional doctor patient relationship.     Dr. Joanne Van Woert has been full time at 1525 New Scotland Rd. since 1993.  Dr. Judy Van Woert joined the practice in 1996.

     Doctors in the Van Woert family have been practicing in the Delmar area since 1917.  Dr. Irving Van Woert Sr. was in General Practice for over 50 years in an office located at the back of his home at the Four Corners, while Dr. Irving Van Woert, Jr. practiced at the Albany Medical Center, the Child's Hospital and in Delmar as a Radiologist.
 

     This medical practice is an extension of the busy  practice started by Dr. Jack Grogan  at this location in the early 1960's.  His sister, Dr. Margaret Grogan took over the practice, provided excellent care for her patients and worked  there until  2018.

      The practice is located in a hundred year old building with a cobblestone foundation that is part of the Slingerland’s Historical District.   Parking is very conveniently located just outside the office building.   We maintain a perennial garden for the enjoyment of our patients and staff.
